Welcome
We are half way through the election and we have heard many things from all sides. Some good, and some bad. But, if we sift through all the rhetoric and hyperbole only two questions really matter: What do we really want as a constituency? What do you want for your family?
I’d like to share with you some of the things I’m hearing from the people, and the families, I’ve been speaking with while door knocking, and met at different events during this election.
People would like schools built in a reasonable amount of time, and they want those facilities to have the ability to change size, relative to the local population.
People want a reduction in health care wait times and a public system that is sustainable. A system that provides good patient outcomes, and advancements in treatment plans.
Calgary-Southeast residents are asking for a broad range of facilities: to play in, to work at and to just generally enhance their day-to-day lives.
I want the same things for my family.
I will fight for these things to become a reality. I will serve you with the same determination that I have served Calgarians on the ambulance, and in the offices of AHS (Alberta Health Services) for many years.
I will be relentless in making your voice count in the legislature, and in collaborating and pushing for more innovation to meet your needs. The solutions to our challenges are in working together, to create real expectations, then doing everything to meet them.
I am not offering gimmicks, flashy headlines, all inclusive packages or payouts. I am offering my hard work, health care experience, research, business experience, and education, to create a movement in government that is known for its accountability, transparency, accessibility, collaboration, honesty and advocacy.
We need education, health care, public services, and a healthy economy. Not just during a surplus window or during an election campaign, we need it for the rest of our lives.
I will do whatever it takes, to make that happen!
